Cody Harris : Texas has come a long way from the days of illegal immigrants flooding through Biden’s open borders! Thanks to Texas’ Operation Lone Star and the policies of the Trump administration, we have all but shut it down in Texas. James Talarico attempting to claim that he’s been on our team is laughable.

Statement released by the Border Patrol Union:
JAMES TALARICO DOES NOT SUPPORT BORDER SECURITY: Talarico’s false claim that he called out the Biden Administration for failing on the border is nothing more than a political ad. His record shows that he labeled border security funding as “wasting money on dumb things,” and instead supported diverting $800 million in funds away from protecting our borders. He voted AGAINST creating a Border Protection Unit and he has called for “pathways” to citizenship, aka “AMNESTY” for illegal aliens. At least 25 million illegal aliens invaded the US during the 4 years of the disastrous Biden Administration and openly advocating for pathways to citizenship is NOT putting America First and will lead to the destruction of America as we know it. We CANNOT afford another disaster on our borders!

"FOLKS, TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THE TWO DEMOCRATS RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR AND U.S. SENATE IN TEXAS.

Gina Hinojosa and James Talarico have legislative records, and those records deserve a whole lot more attention than their campaign speeches.

Both have opposed legislation restricting transgender participation in girls' sports. Both have opposed certain Republican border-security measures. And both have taken positions on gender-related legislation that put them at odds with Texans who favor biological-sex-based protections.

Hinojosa went so far as to author legislation protecting access to public bathrooms and changing facilities according to gender identity.

Talarico opposed restrictions on transgender athletes while serving in the Legislature, although he has since said he supports restrictions when safety or fairness is at risk.

Their supporters describe these positions as protecting civil rights and preventing discrimination. Their critics see them as examples of the progressive ideology often called woke.

That's a legitimate policy disagreement, but it's one Texans ought to examine using actual votes, not political advertisements.

My question is simple: What has changed between their legislative votes and their campaign statements today?

If their positions have evolved, explain why. If they haven't, defend them.

Border security, parental rights, privacy in changing facilities, and fairness in women's athletics are serious issues. Texans deserve specific answers from anyone seeking statewide office.

Campaign speeches tell us what candidates want us to hear. Voting records tell us what they actually did.

Read both. Compare both. And make your decision with your eyes wide open."
