I love getting to see an eclipse! I took a few pics until just after peak here in East Texas. So cool 😍

Check out this GORGEOUS spider I found today! It was about 5-6mm…sooo small. I had never seen one like this before and had to look it up. It’s an orange ant-mimic sac spider (Castianeira amoena). Not one I want in the house, so it’s outdoors now but just WOW 😍😍😍 Looks like tiger stripes, and those were barely visible without the macro shot on my Canon.

OK, I may love insects and studying them for fun, but this variegated paper wasp is NOT on my love list! Their stings huuuurt like the dickens💥Gone now are 6 wasps (and the nest) that were terrorizing our front porch. Check out that stinger, y’all!! 👀
