Training Opportunity for First Responders & Mental Health Professionals 🚨

📅 September 30 – October 2, 2025
🕗 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily (Registration opens 7:15 AM on Tuesday)
📍 Ramada Inn, 1809 Sugarland Drive, Sheridan, WY

Join us for Assisting Individuals in Crisis & Group Crisis Intervention — a 3-day course designed to equip law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatch, detention, probation & parole, ED nurses, search & rescue, ski patrol, chaplains, and mental health professionals with essential skills in:
✅ Crisis Intervention & Su***de Prevention
✅ Individual Peer Support
✅ Large & Small Group Interventions
✅ Crisis Communication Techniques
✅ Resiliency Training & Stress Management

🎓 Participants will earn 24 CE/POST hours and receive certification through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF).

👩‍🏫 Instructor: Carol Staben-Burroughs, LCPC — a nationally recognized trainer with extensive experience in first responder support.

💲 Cost: $100 per participant (includes required textbooks).

Each year, Industry Safety Training proudly partners with Area 59 to support their 6th Grade STEM program.
Students get a hands-on look at the Technical Education Center and explore how we use Virtual Reality to train new miners. It’s always a privilege to inspire the next generation and share the future of safety training with curious young minds!

Check out Area 59’s eight-week tech Makerclass for homeschooled students Homeschool families looking for something to do can check out the Create, Code and Construct maker class specifically tailored for homeschooled students. The first class is set from 10:30 a.m.
