CCSD Adventurarium/Science Center

CCSD Adventurarium/Science Center Campbell County School District's Adventurarium is a hands on Science Center. Admission is free to the public!! As many as three classes per day visit us.

The Adventurarium/Science Center was created to serve as an extension for science classrooms in Campbell County School District and the surrounding area. With the help of educators, local businesses and both the city and county government, the Adventurarium has grown to over 10,000 square feet! Many of our exhibits and animals have been donated to us by the public and by businesses in our area. While our focus is to provide learning opportunities for the local schools during the school year, we gladly invite the public to visit us during our posted public hours and our Family Science Nights throughout the year. Of the total 10,000 square feet available to us, approximately 7,000 square feet is filled with over 60 interactive exhibits and animal displays. This makes the Adventurarium the perfect place to cure a thirst for science knowledge. While many classes are from local schools, we have classes come from around the state and some even visit us from surrounding states. The remaining 3,000 square feet is devoted to the care, or husbandry, of our animals, storage and maintenance of exhibits, and providing educational science kits to teachers in the district for use in the classroom. Many teachers use our science kits to supplement their science curriculum and to provide more opportunities to expand the science knowledge of the district’s students.

A huge THANK YOU to all the families who joined us today for our Rock & Fossil Show at the Public Library! 🪨🦖

It was wonderful to see so many curious minds exploring incredible rocks, minerals, fossils, and the stories they tell about Earth's past. We hope everyone left with a new appreciation for geology—and maybe even a little inspiration to start their own collection!

A special thank you to Northeast Wyoming Rockhounds for generously sharing their knowledge, answering questions, and bringing such incredible specimens for everyone to enjoy. An additional thanks to our awesome educators who led the experiments. Your passion made today's event truly special.

We’re excited to open our doors again this week for Summer Public Hours!

We also wanted to give families a heads-up that we’ll be hosting several larger groups this week. If you'd prefer a quieter visit, you may want to plan around these times:

**Tuesday:** 9:30–10:30 AM and 1:00–2:00 PM
**Wednesday:** 9:30–10:30 AM
**Thursday:** 9:30–10:30 AM

If you are planning to visit with a group of 10 or more, we appreciate a quick call ahead at **307-686-3821**. This helps us prepare and ensures your group gets the most out of their Adventurarium experience.

As a reminder, all children must be accompanied by an adult during their visit and may not be dropped off. We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
