Coach Garrett continues to impact the rodeo world in a big way around here. We are always proud of him and his accomplishments!

The nominees for this year's class of the National Rodeo Hall of Fame are in! We will be profiling their great careers over the next few days.

Today, we look at ba****ck rider Marvin Garrett.

The 1984 Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Rookie of the Year, Garrett won World Ba****ck Riding Championships in 1988, 1989, 1994 and 1995. He qualified for the National Finals Rodeo in his signature event 12 times, and won the average at the Super Bowl of Rodeo twice, in 1989 and 1995.

"Marvelous Marvin," as he was known, had a career spanning 1983 to 2008.

Rodeo members will determine this year's inductees. For more information about rodeo membership and the Hall, visit our website: thecowboy.org/rodeo
