OMG! CCPL library lovers are off to an amazing start unearthing stories this summer! 📚🦕❤️🦖
A whole lot of building happened at our first Unearth a Story event! Curtis Mork, The LEGO Guy, hosted two LEGO building sessions welcoming 250 K-12 kids and their grownups. Curtis presented certificates to several builders for their creative LEGO dinosaur designs. Congratulations to all our talented builders! 🦖🎉
📚☀️ Summer Reading Numbers So Far...
✨ Children (babies–grade 6): 892 signed up since May 22
✨ Teens (grades 7–12): 201 teens picked up reading logs (compared to 169 all last summer!)
✨ Adults: 38 readers have read 92 books in the first week of our program. 📚 Congratulations to Rebecca, our Week 1 drawing winner! ❤️
✨IN ADDITION:
• 140 K-6 kids are participating in CCPL's summer reading program through the Rec Center's June summer camp, and we anticipate an additional 100 kids signing up during their second summer camp session
•214 K-6 kids and 17 teens are tracking their summer reading through the Boys & Girls Club.
