Saturday was a productive day in Big Orange Country...the volleyball team on a renovated gym floor with new Coaches Schmitz and Lonsdale, the football team on the practice field, and a newly paved and painted track.

As we prepare to welcome a new school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate the Gillespie High School Class of 2026!

To our graduates who are venturing into their next chapter—whether you are entering the workforce, serving our country, or continuing your education—we are so proud of you! Your journey at GHS may have come to an end, but the lessons, friendships, memories, and Miner Pride you carry with you will always be a part of who you are.

As one chapter closes, another begins…

Welcome back, Miners! We are excited to welcome all students back to Gillespie High School this Thursday, August 13! We can't wait to see familiar faces and begin another great year together.

Freshmen & New Students: We are especially excited to welcome you to the Miner family! Join us for Open House on Tuesday and take the opportunity to get acquainted with the school, meet staff, and begin your GHS journey.

And to our fall athletes and coaches—best of luck this season! Compete with heart, represent Gillespie with pride, support one another, and remember that being a Miner is about more than what happens on the scoreboard. Make us proud!
