Explore the impact of screen time, social media, gaming, and digital devices on children and teens. This documentary provides an engaging look at the challenges families face in a digital age and offers an opportunity to reflect on healthy technology habits, communication, and setting boundaries at home. The film is recommended for children in 5th grade and up and adults of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The film's run time is 68 minutes.

Celebrating this week in GPS! We are so proud of our 30,000-plus students and all their hard work to start this school year strong 🥇

1. Mesquite Elementary teachers taking part in a 1/2 day of learning this week, focusing on Integrated English Language instruction! ✅
2. Big kids, little readers, BIG smiles. 📚💚 Mrs. Evjen’s 5th graders at Quartz Hill Elementary loved spending time reading with their Kindergarten buddies in Mrs. Kreps’ class!
3. Augusta Ranch Elementary teachers spent an afternoon growing their practice and learning new ways to support all students with professional development focused on using scaffolds to help students succeed. 🍎🎓
4. Patterson Elementary teachers worked on the school's IB professional development plan, discussing communication skills. ✅
5. Mrs. McCoy’s class at Islands Elementary had SO much fun practicing beginning letter sounds! Kinders worked together in groups to draw pictures of things that begin with their assigned sound, then proudly presented their posters to the class. 🔤

Oak Tree Elementary paraprofessional Eric Rogers was recognized at the August 25, 2026, GPS Governing Board meeting for providing immediate support to a student in a time of need. The student’s family contacted GPS and expressed a strong appreciation for the way Rogers guided and cared for the student through a car accident.
