“How was school today?” sometimes gets us only one word: “Good.” 😊

Try asking questions that create space for deeper conversations:
• What made you smile today?
• What was something challenging?
• Who did you encourage or help?
• Where did you see God at work?
• What is one thing we can pray about tonight?

Meaningful conversations don’t have to be long or perfectly planned. A few intentional questions can help us better understand our children’s hearts, celebrate what God is doing, and remind them they are known and loved.

Parents, you are seen. Parenting is nonstop—the teaching, guiding, correcting, comforting, and praying never truly pauses. But Deuteronomy 6 reminds us that faith is often formed in those everyday moments: around the table, in the car, at bedtime, and as a new day begins.

You don’t have to do it perfectly. Just keep showing up, pointing your children to Jesus, and trusting God to use those ordinary moments to plant seeds that shape your children for eternity.
