Islands Elementary Honors the Late Ray Valenzuela: A Legacy of Sportsmanship, Respect, Honesty, and What It Means To Be a Friend On Tuesday, April 21st, Islands Elementary held their annual "Come Eat with Me" family lunch event to honor the memory of Ray Valenzuela, a longtime colleague, friend, and Islands PE teacher who passed away in 2023.

It’s time to head back to where it all began!
We are inviting all former dolphins 🐬 - now seniors - to return to their elementary roots for a celebratory walk through! 🎉
Come dressed in your cap and gown and get ready for cheers and applause from our current staff and students 👏🏻🎓!
We are all so proud of all of your accomplishments!

Thank you to our wonderful PTA !!
Our kindergarten scientists learning about the life cycle of ladybugs🐞 They built their own habitats, observing each ladybug up close to find body parts and learned how these amazing insects grow and change.
The best part? Releasing them back into nature and watching them take flight! 🌿
