Valley Metro visited Islands for a special experience with our Kindergarten and Building Blocks Preschool students!
Our students had the opportunity to learn all about the city bus, how it works, bus safety, and what it’s like to ride on public transportation. The highlight of the visit was taking a ride around the neighborhood! 🚌💛
We loved seeing our little learners so excited, curious, and engaged as they explored this real-world learning experience. A big thank you to Valley Metro for spending time with our students and helping make learning an adventure! 🌟

Mrs. McCoy’s class had SO much fun practicing beginning letter sounds! Our Kinders worked together in groups to draw pictures of things that begin with their assigned sound, then proudly presented their posters to the class. 🔤

Our first graders had an amazing visit from the Humane Society! 🐾💚
They learned all about how animals communicate and got the chance to meet some very special animal friends. The kids loved getting to pet Leche the milk snake, Biggie the Madagascar hissing cockroach, Dusk the ferret, and Raisin Bran the guinea pig! 🐍🪳🦦🐹

It was a fun, hands-on learning experience that our students won’t soon forget! Thank you to the Humane Society for visiting our classroom! 🐾✨
