Easter Sunday is in a couple of weeks. Here are a few ideas to help you, along with your child prepare for this special day!
In our Easter freebie, we have patterns and directions for Easter bunny ears, baby chick art, a Resurrection Walk, and a recipe for Resurrection Buns!
Grab all of them at kidsdiscoveryclub.com in our "more" section under Freebies.
The buns are simple to make... my granddaughter dipped a large marshmallow in melted butter, then rolled it in a cinnamon-sugar mixture. Next, you place one marshmallow in each roll, fold it up and sprinkle with a little more cinnamon sugar on top. Bake according to directions. When you pull the rolls open you will NOT find the marshmallow.... just like Jesus was no longer in the tomb!
“Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they went to the tomb. On the way, they were asking each other, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?” But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled aside. When they entered the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a white robe sitting on the right side. The women were shocked, but the angel said, “Don’t be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He isn’t here! He has risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid his body.”
Mark 16:2-6 NLT
What a great way to tell the Easter Story!
