One of our foundational goals for Level 2 is to help toddlers to find their voice, their most important instrument. We do this through vocal play, making sound effects, and singing with silly sounds. Playing with microphones draws out the most shy children so they can participate as well. Your voice is the instrument that you will have for your entire life, so we want to help build children’s confidence to use it well.

Level 2 is a parent/child music class for kids ages 2-3 years of age. It allows parents to follow their child to encourage mastery of new skills. Singing is for everyone! 🎶

Stop and go games help toddlers to learn inhibitory control, the foundations for self control. This skill is important so children learn to control their bodies, listen and follow parents’ directions, and to stay safe. Learning can be exciting and engaging and yet teach valuable lessons for life. We are more than just a music class. 🎶💜

Level 1 is a parent/child music class for toddlers on the move from 15-27 months 💜

In this music class, we give our toddlers plenty of space and opportunity to explore movement. To work their fine motor skills, we explore a wide-variety of instruments and props. To aid their speech development, parents label with new vocabulary words as they move with their toddlers.

Dances are a sweet part of our Foundations class. It’s the opportunity for parents to bond and connect with their babies. It’s also a sweet way for social connection between the babies. Don’t miss out on these exciting learning opportunities.

Foundations is a music class designed for newborns up to early walkers 💜

The curriculum is tailored for this wide age range. Our goal is to give parents ideas of what they can do at home throughout the week, given the specific age of their baby.

This music class is just as much for the parents as it is for the babies. It’s an opportunity for new parents to meet others in this special season of life. You are not meant to be alone! In addition, all our instructors are well-educated on all the benefits of musical learning for early brain development. Everything we do in class is to benefit your baby’s brain growth and development.

We have found this season with baby a challenge for scheduling, so we offer unlimited classes. This way you can see what works best for your baby’s schedule.

Our rockstars in Year 2 of Musicians are learning a new instrument from Appalachia - the dulcimer. This stringed instrument is a beautiful way to increase their musicianship skills.

Musicians is a brand-new curriculum from Kindermusik International for children 6-8 years of age. The kids study a variety of music from around the world. We learn to read, write and play music on a variety of instruments. The curriculum is movement based, tailoring to how kids this age learn best.

Our students’ homework assignment was to bring a “sound from home” that they believed was musical. We’ve been listening for music everywhere. We are tuning our students’ ears to hearing what is in their environment. We learned what solo versus tutti means with an ensemble. The students learned to follow a director.

Musicians is a music class designed for kids from 6-8 years of age. The goal is to help children learn to read, write and play music on a variety of instruments. This first semester they have been focusing on steady beat, vocal development, matching pitch, and learning to read rhythm notation. Their first instrument is a pre-keyboard instrument, the glockenspiel.

We start in two weeks with an orientation night. DM to learn more so you can increase your skills as a parent and bring more harmony, peace and understanding to your home. A new semester of learning for our big kids means a new instrument for exploration. Each student received a set of ankle bells to work on their bilateral coordination of a steady beat with their lower bodies. Placing bells on the ankles gives special attention to developing beat competency in the lower body. This competency is evident later in life through dribbling a ball, skipping, dancing, running or even marching in the band.

Level 4 is drop-off music class for kids 4-6 years of age. The goal is to grow their skills as they take more ownership for their learning by attending a drop-off class. Parents also get to attend sharing time for 15 minutes at the end of class each week. Our theme this fall is learning about weather. The ankle bells are for our sunny day celebration.

One of the things we are working on with our older students is their ability to socially engage with other kids in class. That is also the benefit of having parents in the classroom with these older students. Parents can help facilitate making social connections. The goal is to prepare them for coming to class on their own in Level 4.

This month we are on an adventure with Froggy. Each week we are riding our bicycles to a new adventure. Where to next Froggy? We are captivating their imaginations for new adventures each week in class.
