Did you know a single drive-thru headset can cost up to $900? 😳
Most staff handling them every shift have no idea — and that's exactly how accidents happen. Dropped in a sink, tossed on a counter, left off the charger. Small habits that add up to big replacement bills.
Kiernan put together a practical guide covering everything your team needs to know — daily care routines, what to clean them with (and what NOT to use), battery tips, and when it's time to call for service before something fails at the worst possible moment.
Worth sharing with your shift leads and posting in the break room. 👇

Even the best in the business need a refresh sometimes. 🍗🚧
We feel you, Gilbert. See you in October, Chick-fil-A.
Well, Gilbert chicken fans… it’s not our pleasure to share this update.
The Chick-fil-A at SanTan Village is closing today for a multi-month renovation.
Go Gilbert called and confirmed the location is closing down today, with hopes to reopen sometime in October.
So yes, the SanTan Village Chick-fil-A is taking a little chicken sabbatical.
Patrons can still get their Chick-fil-A fix at other nearby locations while this one is under construction.
We’ll keep an eye out for updates and let you know when the “my pleasure” returns to SanTan Village.

First Quail Digital install — Houston TX Hot Chicken in Las Vegas. 🌶️
We hadn't put in a Quail system before, so this was a first. Short version: impressed. Audio quality is right up there with the best systems on the market — clear communication, clean integration, solid all around.
If you're a QSR operator evaluating drive-thru communication systems, Quail Digital is one worth adding to the conversation.

Arizona summer is coming — and your drive-thru equipment feels every degree of it. 🌵🌡️
Headset batteries that seemed fine in March may not make it through a July lunch rush. Base stations mounted near fryers or soda machines run hot all day long. Outdoor loop wire takes a beating from blacktop temperatures that can hit 160°F.
The good news? Most summer drive-thru failures are completely preventable with a quick pre-season check.
Kiernan put together a full checklist — headsets, base station placement, outdoor equipment, and what to look for before things go wrong. Worth a read before June 1st if you're operating in Arizona or anywhere in the Southwest.

Is Your Drive-Thru Ready for Arizona Summer? — Your Site Title
Arizona summers are brutal on drive-thru equipment. Headset batteries fail faster, base stations overheat, and outdoor components take a beating. Here's a pre-summer checklist from a 14-year field veteran — what to inspect, what to replace, and what to do before June 1st to avoid a July breakdown.
