Dear host family, My excitement to meet you is so big I can't even explain it. My name is Emily and I am 15 years old, turning 16 in April. I’d like to share a little bit about myself so you can get to know me a bit before we meet in person. I’m a very creative and passionate person. I love singing, writing songs, and playing both the guitar and piano. Music is such an important part of my life, and it’s something I always turn to when I need to express myself. I’m also very artistic and enjoy drawing and painting in my spare time. Apart from being creative, I’m very active and enjoy figure skating, riding horses, and dancing. I’m always looking for new ways to challenge myself and learn new things. Something I also adore is spending time with my dog and just animals in general. My biggest dream is to get a career as a famous singer/songwriter and actress, I will work hard to achieve that goal. It’s a dream of mine to perform on stage and share my music with others. I often audition for movies and would like to continue this in Amerika, so it would be fantastic if I am allowed to go to auditions. Even though I am determined to make that my future, if is does not work out, I would want to become a lawyer. I will always try my best in everything I do, though I am a perfectionist, so it is possible I sometimes stress myself out. But staying positive is something I truly believe in, so I am hoping to bring happiness with me to you. What excites me most about living with a host family is the opportunity to experience a new culture, make lifelong friendships, and learn from each of you. I can’t wait to see what daily life is like in a new country and share my own culture with you as well. I’m really looking forward to family meals, talking about our days, and having fun together. I hope we can do some outdoor activities, like going in the woods, to the beach, go ice skating and more. Living with me might be pretty fun! I’m friendly, open-minded, and enjoy being around others. I love spending time with my family and friends, and I hope to bring that positive energy to our time together. I’m very respectful of other people’s space and always open to new challenges. I decided to go on an exchange year because I want to challenge myself, try new exciting thing and gain new experiences and learn. I hope this year will help me grow as a person.
