Attention 5th & 6th graders! Burk Elementary is kicking off a new Oceanography club this year. The club will meet weekly and then students have the opportunity to participate in a weekend field-trip to California in January 2027. We are looking for more participation! Save the date! Fall is coming and we are hosting our Annual Fall Festival on Friday, November 6 from 6 to 8 PM. There will be food trucks, games, prizes, music & more! We need your help! We are looking for volunteers to help with the planning, set up, hanging lights, take down, and organization of it all. Save the date- our first PTSO meeting is August 19 from 5:30-6:30PM. We are doing our meetings a little differently this year. We are aiming for less meetings + more participation from our amazing families! Weā€™ve decided to meet quarterly instead of monthly. We hope you are able to prioritize and attend the less frequent meetings in order to give your ideas and input about the upcoming PTSO events (ex. fall festival, PledgeStar fundraiser, movie night, supporting the Valentineā€™s dance, growth incentive party with bounce houses and game trucks, etc.) in addition to the supporting other in-school activities for the staff and kiddos. We canā€™t do it without you! Please join us. Everyone welcome! Bring the kids and your families- we canā€™t wait to meet you.

Save the date! We are having our first restaurant night fundraiser at McDonaldā€™s on August 19th. Come support the PTSO and Burk Elementary and get the year off to a great start! We have lots of fun activities and events planned this year and these restaurant night fundraisers really help to financially support our mission at Burk Elementary!!

Thank you to everyone who came out last night! The kiddos sure looked like they were having fun! Between the swimming, water sliding, and diving board jumping - it looked like a good time! Thank you to all the teachers and staff that came out to see the kiddos at the pool! They love to see you outside the classroom- it makes these events extra special for sure! Hereā€™s to a happy and successful 2026/2027 school year Burk Bobcats!!

Had a blast at VNET training this morning with fellow Gilbert Public Schools volunteers! We are excited to support Burk Elementary students and staff as we kick off the new school year! Meet the PTSO board from left to right: Angela Martinez- treasurer, Lindsay Brisson- president, Samantha Barr- secretary. We have six kiddos between the three of us ranging from kindergarten through sixth grade. We all work outside of the home and also prioritize volunteering in our local community in our free time. We love Burk Elementary and want to help to build a strong šŸ’Ŗ community. We need your help this year! Please reach out if you have wanted to help but arenā€™t quite sure where to start! We would love to meet you and hear your ideas! šŸ’” Thank you Rydables of Arizona for the ride! We know the kids are going to love riding these animals at a future school event this year!
