📈Update on Jayce 📈

8th grader Jayce Skow shows out during his velo lesson once again!

Jayce broke 80 mph for the first time on his pull-downs and topped out at 75.9 on the bump.

He was topping out at 72.9 on the mound when he first joined us 💪🔥

Gilbert senior Alec Bell with a lifetime pull-down PR of 87.6!

Alec has been working his tail off this winter and we can’t wait to see what his senior season has in store for him!

Our youngest athlete, 8th grader Jayce Skow showing out during his velo day!

Jayce improved his pull-down velocity from 77.0 last week to 78.5 this week. He also improved his peak mound velocity from 72.9 last week to 74.1 this week!

All of this in a short week, along with a busy wrestling schedule.

Beast.

Jayce has improved drastically every week we work with him and we see a very bright future from this dude 🔥💪⚾️📈

What makes us special?

We pride ourselves in personalizing each program to the specified athlete. But most importantly we want to put your body into positions you are not used to throwing in.

Mavrik baseball believes that putting your body into abnormal positions will better prepare you to understand how your body moves when putting your skills to the test.

Visualize and execute.

How do I visualize?

We believe it starts with commitment. As a pitcher we want to have a plan. Coming set uncommitted and not having confidence in what you're throwing, puts you at a disadvantage before even throwing the pitch.

We like to visualize, similar to visualizing shooting a free throw in basketball. Before you shoot a free throw, you envision it going in the hoop. Similar to pitching, when we come set, we want to visualize ourselves delivering the pitch with the most conviction possible.

Visualizing on the mound can make an insurmountable difference and we believe it is the most important pre-pitch attribute that a pitcher can have.
