💛HYROX PHX 2026 🖤 Women & Mens Solo Races. What a way to spend a Sunday! Grateful to be able to train alongside my incredible father-in-law (who is also a bad ass!!) and for our amazing family who stayed by our side and cheered for us alllll day! It was a great first race, lots of lessons learned, definitely opportunity for improvement, lots of pain but also so much fun. I’m proud of myself for making the time to wakeup early and train when I didn’t always feel like it, not cancel on myself when life gets extra crazy and show up to the start line scared and unsure. We can do hard things. ✨💪

Heading into a BIG new role tomorrow.
AND I get to decide how I show up. i could show up nervous, stressed & overwhelmed…But I’m choosing confident & calm.
Do I have some anxious feelings…of course. I’m also not getting to calm & confident by ignoring these feelings. I am acknowledging them, exploring them and then intentionally choosing how I want to show up.
That’s the beauty of our existence, we can’t always control what happens to us but we can control how we respond.
I choose peace & confidence as my first choice frequently. Definitely not perfect in the ex*****on but if I never set the intention it will never come to be.
What do you choose for the week ahead?

Bittersweet. Last client session.
I continue to be as present as possible in the transition process.
I do periodic body scans. Where do I notice tension or stress? What is she trying to tell me.
Allow the emotions to come as they come. No need to change or fix. Just flow.
Deep cleansing breaths. Lots of them.
(hint: these are great tools for anyone 😉)
Deeply grateful for this community.
On to the next chapter. Feeling lucky 🍀

PLOT TWIST
I started Mother & Founder two years ago out of my passion to help women grow purpose-driven businesses and heal from trauma so that they can lead their organizations from a place of wholeness. I also created this business to give me space and flexibility to be the leader I wanted to be while also navigating some complex family matters.
In 22 short months, I have helped over 65 businesses, led more staff retreats than I can count, and witnessed massive healing. I have truly loved every minute of it. While my business continues to grow, I have come to the bittersweet decision to pause this endeavor. I have always encouraged every entrepreneur I have worked with to listen to their gut and the quiet whispers of their soul. I am excited to announce that I have accepted an offer to be the Vice President of Operations for the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC).
SARRC has been a client of mine for the last 5 years. It has been an honor to get to know their mission and work alongside their executive leadership team as they have carefully crafted their strategic plan and put it into action. As fate would have it, I met the SARRC team at the same time my oldest was receiving his Autism diagnosis. The SARRC team held my hand through navigating the initial overwhelm of diagnosis and forever changed the trajectory of our family. Because of the knowledge we received through their Jumpstart and Intensive Parent Training Program Brett and I were able to advocate for him from a place of understanding, get him the services he needed, and help him leverage his unique skills. He is now thriving in his general education class with little to no assistance. His care team credits his successful integration because of the early intervention therapies he was able to receive, programs and therapies we knew about because of SARRC. Joining the SARRC team feels like a bit of a homecoming to me, returning to nonprofit, mission-driven work. Non-profit work is where I started my leadership journey and feels like an important place to be at this stage of my career. I am excited to contribute my skills and help SARRC achieve its mission of providing access to meaningful services to every Arizonan. I want every family to be as lucky as mine regardless of where they live in our state.
So, what does this mean? I will be officially transitioned to my new role on March 20th. I will be taking the next few weeks to wrap up. If you do want to get one last strategy or trauma session in, I have limited openings and would love to work with you! I will be working with my current clients to recommend amazing colleagues to help continue the work we have started together.
Brett is continuing to focus on his marketing projects. He is narrowing his focus to helping people optimize their long-form content (think podcasts, recorded talks, webinars, etc.) by creating small clips and short videos for social media. If you have content that you want to maximize, please reach out!
Lastly, our beloved office space. Brett and I poured our love (and money) into creating a comfortable and collaborative office space. We would hate to see it go to waste. We are looking for individual coaches, bodywork practitioners, etc. to potentially share the space. If you are looking for a space with flexible options, please reach out we’d love to connect.
Finally, thank you. It has been an incredible ride and I am so damn grateful for each and every one of you. The remarkable people this business has brought into our lives have changed us for the better. I really can’t believe that I had the privilege to work with such passionate and creative people. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I hope we continue to stay connected! I will be shifting my Instagram a bit but will be staying true to its original purpose…sharing my journey as I navigate professional pursuits while also being the mother I want to be and sharing tips along the way. I wish you much success in your endeavors and hope our paths continue to cross.
Remember to stay curious, kind, and messy!
In Gratitude,
Jen
