Happy Summer everyone! 🐬🐬

On Friday, our 6th graders wrapped up their last full week of school with a hot dog lunch grilled by Mr. Davis and cooled down with Eegee's a few parents brought. They still have more fun planned before wrapping up their time at Islands Elementary, starting with the annual Teachers v 6th Graders Kickball Game and FREE snow cones afterwards. Who do you think will win? 🐬🐬

On the last day of Teacher Appreciation Week, the PTA celebrated with a lunch. Teachers also were able to order and create flavorful Italian sodas from our variety of syrups. We love our staff and all they do to help educate our students. THANK YOU TEACHERS!

Today's raffle winner was Mrs. Romero who won a day at a spa + gift card. Congratulations!!

Teacher Appreciation Week may be over but that doesn't mean school is. We have less than 2 weeks left and still have lots of amazing activities and fun. Catch the PTA next week selling concessions at Islands Got Talent and Peter Piper! 🐬🐬

Today's Teacher Appreciation Week celebration was a Galaxy Snack Attack! Our staff enjoyed a lot of amazing food to fuel their SPACE-TACULAR day, from chips to space approved freeze dried treats and cosmic brownies.

Our winner for today's raffle was Ms. Achman who won a gift card to AMC Theaters!

There's one day left of Teacher Appreciation Week! We're wrapping up the week with a Mission Control L(a)unch before they blast off to the weekend. 🐬🐬

For today's Teacher Appreciation Week celebration, the PTA Board made dips for our Big Dipper Dip Day! Teachers got to enjoy homemade cowboy caviar, street corn, buffalo chicken, rotel + cheese, and other dips.

A special CONGRATULATIONS to today's raffle winner - Mrs. Orona! She won a Bath and Body Works gift card.

Today to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, our staff enjoyed an out of this world breakfast complete with "milky way" yogurt, "comet" donut holes, "asteroid" granola, "nebula" lemon curd, fruity planets, stars, and moons, and galactic coffee and juice. Thank you to the Starbucks on McQueen and Guadalupe for donating coffee to "fuel" the staff for today's adventure.

A special CONGRATULATIONS to our raffle winner Mrs. Sweeney! She won a gift card to Barnes and Noble.

Tomorrow we celebrate the staff with a dip party! 🐬🐬

Teacher Appreciation Week is HERE! The PTA is celebrating our Islands staff with a week full of SPACE-TACULAR celebrations. Today's theme, in honor of May the 4th, the PTA served 4 different Star Wars themed Italian Sodas. Our teachers enjoyed fun and flavorful sodas, complete with color changes and glitter! A big THANK YOU to the Daughters of the American Revolution .of.the.american.rev for providing and stocking the lounge with snacks for everyone!

A special CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. Fox for being our daily prize winner! She won a Harkins gift card. Every day a new winner will be selected.

The fun doesn't end today. We have 4 more days of celebrations and prizes! Tomorrow we'll celebrate our staff with a continental breakfast. 🐬🍎🐬

There's less than 5 weeks of school left and that means it's time to order your student's yearbook - pre-order yours today and SAVE! Pre-order price is only $25! Yearbooks will be on sale until Wednesday, May 13th. Yearbooks can be picked up at our Yearbook Signing Party at Peter Piper Pizza on Thursday, May 14th (4-8pm). 🐬🐬

Mark your calendars for our next Snow Cone Friday! The PTA will be selling snow cones during Fun Friday on April 24th. Parents - let us know if you're interested in helping!

Our next and last Snow Cone Day of the school year will be Monday, May 18th. This will be a FREE snow cone day to celebrate the end of the school year and we'll be handing out snow cones after the annual 6th Grade Teacher v Students Kickball Game (approx 9:30am). 🐬🐬

Congratulations to Mrs. Bandura on being Islands Elementary Teacher of the Year nominee! The PTA celebrated her nomination with a gift basket of her favorite things. Mr. Davis presented her backet after school on Wednesday. Congratulations Mrs. Bandura! 🐬🐬
