Thank you so much, PFL (Parents for Lighthouse), for sweetening our morning with amazing pastries and coffee! On top of that, they took time this summer to give our staff break room a complete makeover! We are so blessed to have such amazing volunteers. 💙

Today, elementary and middle school students gathered for the first chapel of the year, where our chapel theme, "Becoming the Stuff of Legend", was explained by Mr. Cain. Middle school students then got to have fun getting to know their house groups after chapel by doing a human knot exercise. We are excited to see our students take on the challenge of becoming legends by faithfully doing what is right!

Our middle school Cross Country team have their first meet of the season this Saturday at 8:00 a.m. at Bellarmine! Lets go, Navigators! We'll be cheering you on every step of the way. 🏃

Our kindergarteners are here! We were so excited to see our kinder crew arrive this morning for their first day of school. Praying that the 2026-2027 school year is one for the books!

Please help us welcome Jennifer Beaty to our second grade team! With six years of experience teaching early elementary students, she is passionate about helping children grow in their faith and fall in love with Jesus.

Outside the classroom, she enjoys time with her husband and five children, gardening, camping, traveling, baking sourdough, and relaxing at Lake Chelan.

We’re so excited to welcome her to Lighthouse and can’t wait for a wonderful year ahead!

We've had so much fun lately welcoming our Navigators back to campus! Last week, we held our new student event, where new students and families got to know each other through fun games and eat yummy treats! Yesterday, students got to meet their teachers, pick up schedules, and have fun meeting fellow classmates at Back-To-School Day. We are so excited for the school year to start! 💙💛

Our facilities team has been working hard this summer to make sure our campus is in tip-top shape for the beginning of school! The gym and Navigator Hall have been resurfaced, A/C has been installed in the modular buildings, and the landscaping has never looked better! Thank you for all you do!

We are excited to welcome Bridget Liberty to our second grade team! Miss Liberty said: "I am so excited to start my teaching career at Lighthouse in second grade! I grew up in Gig Harbor and attended Lighthouse as a student in elementary school. I can't wait to be back at the school as a staff member; this opportunity has been such an answered prayer. I am beyond excited to start the school year and become part of the Lighthouse family." Please help us in welcoming Miss Liberty to LCS!

🎉 Meet Our New Principal! 🎉

We’re excited to officially welcome Mr. Andrew Cain as Lighthouse’s new principal!

Mr. Cain brings nearly 30 years of experience as an educator, coach, and school administrator, including the past 19 years at Cedar Heights Middle School. Along with his extensive experience, he brings a heart for students, families, and Christ-centered education.

Mr. Cain and his wife have been married for 26 years and are raising three boys—including his youngest, who is a 6th grader right here at LCS!

As he begins this new chapter at Lighthouse, Mr. Cain is guided by Zephaniah 3:9:
"Then I will purify the lips of the peoples, that all of them may call on the name of the Lord and serve Him shoulder to shoulder."

We’re grateful to have Mr. Cain leading our school community and excited for the year ahead! 💙💛
