It’s a beautiful fall day - come out and enjoy the Chum Festival with us!
CBN will offer a watershed health demonstration hourly to highlight points of pollution that impact local salmon. Our watershed model is open for hands-on sensory exploration between sessions. For more hands on learning, help us paint a Salmon lifecycle mural and grab a Scavenger hunt to take for your stroll down Donkey Creek. Turn your completed scavenger hunt in for a prize!

Today we are talking about Provocations and Process! In a Reggio Emilia-influenced school, we set up provocations to spark thinking! Our children are experimenting with the materials through hands-on exploration. They are practicing, testing, constructing, and deconstructing their ideas and theories. Since 2014, CBNS teachers and families have joined to support the Cider Swig Festival as volunteers. We're thrilled to share the news on our Green Event Certification for 2022. While the Cider Swig Festival is a fun day of cider sippin', proceeds support various environmental initiatives in the . Our blank walls are ready to welcome our new class of students on Monday! Why blank walls? As part of our Reggio Emilia philosophy, we start each school year with a blank slate! This allows each class to help create their classroom environment and feel a sense of community and ownership of their classroom. We can't wait to see what they create!

Looking forward to sampling awesome ciders from Puget Sound Cider Company. Located in Renton, Washington, their ciders are “small-batch and handcrafted from Washington state fruit.” Their ciders are aged from five to twelve months after bottling. Some have other fruit added, but “only whole natural fruit, never concentrates, extracts, syrups, or essences.”
