Everyone who supports this program with your heart, your kindness, your time, your words, and your donations is part of our family. This week with the help of more people than we can list, we were able to provide 155 local families with a Thanksgiving Holiday Meal and more.
Families were able to shop for their own holiday meal items from our FB4K Family Pantry. Those items included a holiday meat (turkey, ham, chicken, or turkey breast), stuffing, apple cider, fresh potatoes, onions and yams, pie, butter, other fresh produce and non-perishable foods and drinks, Christmas wreaths, handmade quilts, knitted hats and more.
We are honored to help families with a holiday meal and food assistance year round with your help.
We will be providing Christmas Meals as well, so watch for more information on how to help.
We are thankful for you all. Keep your loved ones close and have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Love,

Pictured in these photos are 6th Grade and New Student Orientation activities at Goodman Middle School and Harbor Ridge Middle School on Thursday.
Staff and mentor students welcomed 6th graders and new students with school tours and presentations about schedules and routines to support the transition for incoming students.
We've missed our students and look forward to the 2021-2022 school year!
Today middle school staff welcomed students in 6th grade 'A' day cohorts for their first day back on school campuses in the hybrid model.
6th graders in 'B' day cohorts return tomorrow, with 7th and 8th grade cohorts starting next week.
Fully remote learning continues for middle school families electing to continue remotely.
PSD middle school students join Kindergarten through 5th grade, special education, developmental preschool and select small groups as hybrid in-person learners.
Pictured in these photos are a few images from Harbor Ridge Middle School and Goodman Middle School.
During Black History Month, students are learning and sharing about influential Black leaders. One such example is Harbor Ridge Middle School's Black History Assembly, featuring presentations, performances, and reflections from students.
The full assembly can be viewed on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/m-mtzYE8ZsQ
Another such example is this collage of Ruby Bridges, put together by the students of Mrs. Trinh’s class at Discovery Elementary School.
Thank you, HRMS and Discovery students and staff, for sharing these projects with us.
Mario leads the career and technical education program at Harbor Ridge, which includes a student-centered PrimeTime program; FalconCentral, a student-managed help desk that provides tech support to building staff; and CTE classes. Throughout the school year, he teaches subjects such as multimedia, app development, an introduction to technology, robotics, and forensics.
Mario finds that the most rewarding part of his workday is collaborating with his colleagues. "Career atmospheres are collaborative and cross-departmental in nature, and so to keep my program career-centered I have to find every way possible to collaborate with my colleagues,” Mario said.
One such example was a recent food drive competition between Kopachuck Middle School Coyotes and Harbor Ridge Middle School. The friendly competition combined to raise 4,985 pounds of food donated to Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH Food Bank. Way to go!🥫
