Every Child Can- Piano Studio My two-piano studio allows me to teach by example, have group lessons, accompany, have duets and tea Meet Mr. He graduated in 1987.

Trautman: Ken, a Pittsburgh native, has had a love of music from a very young age when he studied piano. He graduated in 1974 with a BA in music from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he had the opportunity to study and play his graduation recital on the Flentrop tracker-action Pipe Organ. He spent the next several years involved in music as church organist, musical theater direct

or, accompanist, and performer, with the only major diversion being meeting and marrying his wife. The birth of his daughter in 1978 stimulated an interest in musical experience and education for young children. This interest led him and his
family to Matsumoto, Japan in 1985, where he studied Suzuki Method music education at Dr. Shinichi Suzuki's Institute. He was inspired by the beauty, and success of this positive approach to developing talent. Returning to the Pittsburgh area he established his own studio for teaching Suzuki Method Piano. In addition he conducts workshops throughout the states, continues as church organist, accompanist, and performer. He welcomes all inquiries, observations, and students of all ages!

Sunday night was so exciting; 4 Suzuki Method Piano teachers (my husband Ken Trautman being one) and their students played a"5 on 5" concert at the Fort Pitt Piano Store in Pittsburgh. That means 5 people played 5 pianos all together. It was wonderful! There were about 10 different groups of players ranging in age from elementary school thru highschool. Of course the teachers sometimes filled an empty spot. Here is a partial video of just one performance.
