🤖🟦 Our sixth grade STEM Enrichment students have been hard at work designing custom courses and coding their Ozobots to successfully maneuver through them! Students are learning coding basics through block coding while also exploring how color sensors help guide and control their robots. It has been awesome watching their creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork in action! 🚗💡🎨

🚁🌟 Our seventh grade remote sensing students have been exploring how to program and safely fly drones in Mr. Bouwman’s classroom over the past couple of weeks! Students are now taking their skills to the next level as they work collaboratively to design and program their very own drone shows complete with synchronized movements, lights, and choreography. 🤖✨

It has been awesome watching our students combine coding, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving while learning real-world STEM skills. Stay tuned for some amazing performances! 🚀🎮

8th Graders traveled to CJ Barrymore Amusement Park to ride go karts, the ferris wheel, zip line, mini golf, bumper boats, the arcade, hang out with friends and much more. While we were there, students challenged each other and the staff to ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS to earn the most beads. Winners get gift cards to Dairy Queen. A great farewell trip for our Class of 2030.

Ms. Ginestet’s classes wrapped up their Hunger Games Probability Unit by watching the movie, with help from Emagine Theater in Woodhaven, with generously donated popcorn!

The 8th graders had a blast in DC last week!

Mrs. Sliwinski did an activity called “My Future’s So Bright!” Students did a writing activity and then got to decorate sunglasses to show what their bright future will look like! Then, they cut out the sunglasses, glued them onto paper, and drew a picture of themselves.
