A new Dr. Seuss manuscript called Sing the 50 United States has been found and will be published next year for America’s 250th anniversary. The book features the Cat in the Hat and teaches kids the names of all 50 states with fun rhymes and wordplay. It’s the first full Dr. Seuss manuscript discovered since 2015. The manuscript was found earlier this year at the Geisel Library at UC San Diego, along with sketches and notes for the book’s artwork. Random House Children’s Books will publish it on June 2, 2026, with new illustrations by Tom Brannon in Dr. Seuss’s style, and the first printing will be 500,000 copies.

Historic Win for Early Childhood Education!

CA Governor Gavin Newsom has signed AB 1123, ensuring that early childhood educators finally have a voting voice on the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).

For nearly 60 years, the CTC has issued and regulated ECE permits—yet never included an early educator as a voting member. With this law, that changes.

This achievement was made possible through tireless advocacy from PEACH, CCRC, Head Start California, and countless ECE professionals across the state. Together, we’re building a more inclusive and equitable future for California’s children, families, and educators. 💪💛
