Gettysburg Language Institute, offer English language study for High school students from around the world. The program is expected to last approximately 3 weeks during, which students will learn English and visit interesting cities and states in the U.S.A. Students will be divided into three small groups to attend classes. The division will be according to the level of English, after passing a pl
acement test. Classes will take place in two sessions, one focused on grammar, reading and writing skills and a second one based on communicative activities, which will focus on listening and speaking skills. In the afternoons, students will engage in sports, go to the movies, and see the surrounding areas in a special coach and by walking to get a better view of the town and its surroundings. Students will have the opportunity to associate with High School pupils and their peers from the historical Gettysburg Area High School, a major and renowned High School in town. Local High School students of the area will be their chaperone and friends to help them communicate better and practice what they are learning in class.
