Southtowns Music Center – 7202 Boston State Rd., Hamburg, NY

Curious about drum corps? Come check us out!

WNY Drum Corps is hosting an Open House for anyone interested in marching, playing, or supporting a growing music community right here in Western New York. Whether you’re an experienced drummer or fifer, someone who marched years ago, or completely new but interested in learning, this is a great chance to meet the group and see what we’re building.

We’ll talk about our plans for the 2026 season, the events and parades we’re preparing for, and our vision for creating a strong local drum corps community. We’re also looking to expand by building opportunities for younger musicians to get involved and grow their skills.

Stop by, meet the members, ask questions, and see how you can be part of WNY Drum Corps. No commitment required—just bring your interest in music and community.

All skill levels are welcome. 🎶🥁

We’re excited to officially share that we’re working to build a WNY Junior Drum Corps right here in Western New York for ages 8–18.

Our goal is simple:
🥁 Create a strong, supportive community
🇺🇸 Preserve and grow our musical traditions
🎶 Give kids a safe place to deepen the skills they’re already learning in school
🤝 Build confidence, teamwork, and pride through music

Whether your child is already in band, just starting out, or simply curious about drumming and fife traditions, this is an opportunity to be part of something special.

And the best part?
There is NO cost to join.

We believe music and mentorship should be accessible to everyone. This is about investing in the next generation, strengthening our roots, and building something lasting here in WNY.

If you’re interested in learning more about the WNY Junior Drum Corps — or know a family who might be — reach out to us. Let’s build this together. 🥁🇺🇸

Two years ago, this was just a dream — the idea of starting a drum corps here in WNY. A vision rooted in respect for the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, their traditions, discipline, and sound, while also pushing myself to keep learning, listening, and broadening my understanding of the incredible variety of groups that make up the fife and drum community today.

Marching alongside so many wonderful people in Gettysburg last year didn’t just inspire me — it confirmed that this dream has legs. The camaraderie, the history, the passion… it lit a fire that’s still burning strong.

As we mark this two-year anniversary of dreaming and planning, we’re excited to start turning pages and setting things in motion for 2026. Still learning. Still listening. Still honoring the past while building something meaningful for the future — right here in WNY.

More to come. 🥁🔥

I want to extend my sincere thanks to the 21st Georgia Volunteer Infantry Company B, and the 21st Fife and Drum for welcoming me into their ranks for the annual Remembrance Day Parade in Gettysburg, PA. It was an honor to march alongside such dedicated musicians, historians and reenactors who keep our shared heritage alive with such respect and authenticity.

Thank you all for the camaraderie, the hospitality, and the unforgettable experience. I’m truly grateful.

Enjoy some of the music we played in Lincoln Square before the parade stepped off!
