Officer Tom Ahlers was awarded the Robert Bunker Award for Outstanding Performance by the Northeast Colleges and University Security Association today. In late August, Tom witnessed a student struck by a vehicle. He immediately jumped into action, ensuring a safe scene and initializing patient care. The actions taken by Tom that day created a favorable outcome for the student who returned to campus later that semester. Although Tom will say that he "was just doing his job", the actions Tom took that day were truly heroic, and he is well deserving of this award. Gettysburg College

New semester means bringing back Officer Spotlight! Meet Officer Amy Donahue. Officer Donahue rejoined Campus Safety in June 2023 and we are thrilled to have her back. She has been out and about at recent events and meeting with students.
In her free time, Officer Donahue enjoys camping and being outside with her family. Her favorite part of working for the college is getting to interact with the campus community!
If you see Officer Donahue, make sure to say hi!
