The official Lambda Chi Alpha, Theta-Pi chapter of Gettysburg College On Oct. 1, the Theta-Pi chapter at Gettysburg College celebrated its 100th anniversary.
The local Phi-Sigma chapter was founded in 1916 and later installed as the Pennsylvania Alpha chapter of Theta Kappa Nu on Oct. 11, 1924. In 1939, the chapter became the Theta-Pi chapter of Lambda Chi after the merger with Theta Kappa Nu.

We’d like to take a moment this Memorial Day to honor those who lost their lives in service of their country.
Our flagpole is dedicated in honor of Captain William Burkett. He served in the Air Force from 1965-1969 and was killed in action in Vietnam. His mother, Jane Burkett, was a longtime housemother for the chapter. Please join us in taking a moment to remember and honor Captain Burkett and all service members who made the ultimate sacrifice

Brothers Alex Giroaurd and Kurtis Grey had the awesome opportunity to visit the former Vice President yesterday. Theta Pi encourages all of you to vote this election!
As we head out after another semester cut short, I find myself upset, but just as grateful. To our actives, as well as those who were here with us, thank you for a lifetime’s worth of memories. Thank you for making all the stressful nights, all the work put in, and every problem we’ve had to face worth it with a consistent good time and the best group of guys I could’ve ever asked for on the good days and the bad ones. If we could do it all again, I would. To our new associate members, thanks for bringing an unmatched energy in our short time together; you give me an assurance that this chapter will be in good hands for years to come.
To our alumni, from our AAB to our Housing Corporation and everyone who has stopped back and who helped out however they could, thank you for all of the help, advice, and countless problems you’ve helped us work through. Today, we find ourselves infinitely better than we did years ago, and that’s a huge testament to the help we always get.
In short, thank you for making Lambda Chi Alpha the best decision I’ve made. I look back on it fondly and cherish it; but we aren’t done. Here’s to completing our semester strong, finding a way to make virtual work for us as we continue to build to higher success. And here’s to hoping for one last spring together.
