🫶A Student’s Thank You to our Custodians

October 2 is National Custodian Day, and instead of hearing from us, we’re turning the spotlight over to a student who recently shared her appreciation for Mr. Jacob at a school board meeting.

Her words captured something we see every day: the care, pride and hard work our custodians bring to our schools.

To Mr. Jacob and all of our GASD custodians, thank you for everything you do. You keep our schools running, you care for the spaces our Warriors learn and grow in, and you are truly the backbone of our schools.

We are incredibly grateful for you today and every day. Happy National Custodian Day! ❤️

🌟Celebrating the Principals who lead our Warriors

Behind every school is someone who cares deeply about the people inside it. October is National Principals Month, and we're recognizing the people who make a difference in the lives of our Warriors every day.

They know their students and take pride in watching them grow. They know how staff make our schools what they are. They celebrate the big moments, notice the little things, and make time for the conversations that matter.

Our principals bring energy, care, and a genuine connection to their schools. They help create places where Warriors feel known, supported, and encouraged to Be Here, Be Involved, Be Committed, and Be Kind.

To our GASD principals and assistant principals, thank you for knowing our students, caring about our dedicated staff, and bringing so much heart to our schools. The difference you make isn't always something that can be measured, but it is felt daily.

We're grateful for all that you do and proud to call you part of our Warrior family. Happy National Principals Month! 🫶

📸 September looked a little something like this.

Mobile Ag labs. Recess smiles. Tea parties. Friday night lights. Archery in action. And of course, a hat day and other spirit days!

A month full of learning, laughing, competing, celebrating, and just being Warriors.

Here's a look back at a few September moments. Happy Warrior Wednesday!

🎉Warrior Wednesday

A room full of reasons to celebrate. GAHS students gathered last month to recognize their classmates and the many accomplishments from the 2025-26 school year.

From perfect attendance and academic honors to special certifications, AP Scholar recognition and so much more, our Warriors were celebrated for their hard work, dedication, and commitment behind their achievements.

And there's something powerful about seeing classmates cheer for classmates. Different goals. Different accomplishments. One proud Warrior community.

A big congratulations to all our Warriors who were recognized. We are of you all.

✨ Happy National HR Professionals Day! ✨

Today, we’re celebrating Morgan Miller and Bobbi Weaver, our Human Resources team, and the many ways they make people feel seen, supported and appreciated across GASD. ❤️

They know our staff, celebrate their milestones, and take the time to recognize the people who make our schools what they are. Their impact reaches well beyond the HR office, from welcoming new employees and supporting the hiring process to helping students prepare for opportunities like their Junior Achievement BizTown interviews. In so many ways, they live the Warrior Way through the relationships they build with both staff and students.

We’re grateful for Ms. Miller and Ms. Weaver and the energy, care and encouragement they bring to GASD each day. Interested in becoming part of our team? Explore current opportunities: https://jobs.redroverk12.com/org/GASDWarriors.
