And for the grand finale - Cataloging and Metadata. Our interns cataloged the books they repaired in the last rotation and then learned the complexities of cataloging sheet music. First they sorted by era and then alphabetized by song title. Their cataloging records in MUSCAT Plus are extremely detailed and even include the first lines of songs to help researchers connect with exactly the piece and version that they want.

THE notes from "Notes on the Rebel invasion of Maryland and Pennsylvania : and the battle of Gettysburg, July 1st, 2d and 3d, 1863," by its author Prof. Michael Jacobs. Jacobs was one of our first faculty members and first librarian. He spent July 1-3, 1863 observing the battle around him from his home on West Middle Street. His book, published in 1864, is a well-respected account of the battle.
