Plans Saturday night. Date Night. Enjoy that new movie. Get your grocery shopping and errands done. Crack open a new book, grab a coffee and relax.

Whatever it is...enjoy it kid free! Reminder that Parents Night Out is this Saturday, October 10th 5-8pm. Drop your kiddos off to Gettysburg Best for a few hours. They get to play and hang with friends, do crafts and activities and have a Pokémon theme night...all for only $10 per child! If you want pizza, it's an extra $8/child...or pack them a snack/supper.

You can enter to win this fun Pokémon box of cards, too, by wearing your James Gettys gear or bringing a friend. We hope to see you there!

Happy Thursday, James Gettys families!
Reminder: tonight is our reschedule for the Garden & Outdoor Movie Night. Station rotations are 5:30-6:30pm. Movie is 6:45-8:15pm. Please bring your blankets to sit. Snacks are welcome! PTO will provide popcorn and a bottle of water for each person.
Sunset Slush will be available for purchase as well!

The Gettysburg Area Education Foundation is graciously donating the profit from their 50/50 ticket sale to the James Gettys PTO during the high school football game THIS FRIDAY, September 25th.

Volunteers are needed to help collect money and count/tear tickets. *Must be 18 and post high school graduate*

Day 5 - "We Were On A BREAK...To Get Ice Cream" was the perfect ending to our FRIENDS teacher Appreciation Week! We also had an "It's Fine, I'm Fine, Everything's Fine...Because There's A Raffle" to end our Friday. A massive shout out to Dairy Queen for donating ice cream to our staff. Ragged Edge Coffee House and Starbucks Gettysburg for their donations to our raffle. Our PTO for some other raffle goodies. And lastly, all of our James Gettys Families. We couldn't make these weeks possible without your help in fundraising, donating and volunteering.

Day 4 - "Join Us At Central Perk - They'll Be There For BREW!" was quite a hit! We had On My Grind Coffee truck parked out front making orders for each staff member. We also included a picture of our volunteer drink runners, as we can't do it without them either. Thank you, Ladies! The smoothies he had to offer seemed most popular but the coffee was also delicious! Thank you, Forrest, for making the trek our way for our staff!

Last day of Teacher Appreciation is tomorrow. Be sure to end strong in your James Gettys gear!

Day 3 - "Joey Doesn't Share Food, But We Do!" went great. The staff enjoyed a taco bar, as well as leftover fruit, drinks and snacks from the past few days. A big thanks again to all of our families for their donations of taco supplies and toppings, making today possible!

Tomorrow, sleep in a little longer and wear your pajamas to school! Reminder, no nightgowns or slippers, please.

Day 2 - "Could There BE Anymore Snacks?" went fabulous! The teachers and staff enjoyed a make your own drink bar and a variety of snacks. A shout out to Sonic Drive-In for the donation of the best ice around for our drinks. And a huge thanks to our James Gettys Families for donating fruit and snacks to go along with today!

Tomorrow is Hat Day! We'll see you then 😀
