Why do you love Rugby?
"Rugby provides a unique, exciting, and accepting environment that you could not find anywhere else. Through rugby I have met the greatest teammates and friends that I know. The team is incredibly loving and supportive. Overall, the team is crazy and fun, and I would not want to get wrecked with anyone else."

Why do you love Rugby?
"I joined rugby because it was something different and went out on a whim. I never expected to love it as much as I do. I found myself continually coming back to practice and eventually playing games. All of a sudden it became my life, the girls became my best friends, and the sport became my favorite to watch or play. It is badass and fun and an expierence that is worth every crazy moment. This team is my family and I could not imagine Gettysburg with out my team."

Why do you love Rugby?
"When I came to Gettysburg, the last thing I thought I would do was play rugby. I didn’t think I was strong enough, or aggressive enough to play—never mind that I had no idea what rugby was—but it quickly became my favorite activity. The sport itself is so empowering because it creates a space where women are encouraged to be powerful and assertive. But more than that, it’s given me an amazing community of people who are supportive, kind, and pretty badasss."

Why do you love Rugby?
"I joined rugby because I played in elementary school and never really got the chance to play again until I came to Gettysburg College. Joining my freshman year helped me establish important friendships almost immediately. The sport provides a lot of stress-relief from my demanding schedule and has greatly improved my physical and mental health. Once I’m on the field, nothing else really matters; the best feeling is being on the field surrounded by supportive teammates always pushing me to be a better player. (And tbh I really like to tackle)"

Why do you love Rugby?
"I love playing rugby because it's a really special group of girls who dove into a sport without knowing a lot about it and give it their all every practice and game! I signed up because I wanted to stay active and play a team sport, but I was never expecting to gain a whole new group of sisters (:"

Why do you love Rugby?
"I joined rugby on a whim and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made at Gettysburg. I’ve met my closest friends while learning a challenging new sport with a super supportive team. I look forward to every game and practice knowing it’s gonna be a good time with a lot of laughs, while still getting to be outside and workout." -Drey
♡
"I love playing rugby because my teammates are my best friends. Beyond that, I think it is empowering to play an aggressive sport that makes you much tougher. Learning a new sport can keep you active, help relieve stress, and make you more confident in your own strength. I love this team!" -Emily

Why do you love Rugby?
"I really enjoy playing rugby because it gave me many new amazing friends when I first started out as a freshman. Not only that, but we all tried something new together and wrecked and got wrecked as a team. This team is one of inclusion and support, and I wouldn’t trade playing rugby with them for anything else."

Saturday is a rugby day! Last Saturday we volunteered at the 1st Annual Trivia Bowl here in Gettysburg, PA.
Here is a bit on the event:
"The Exchange Club of Gettysburg is a chapter of a national service organization that has been in existence for more than 100 years. Its primary philanthropic focus is the prevention of child abuse.
The Exhange Club's 1st Annual Trivia Bowl is a fundraiser for two organizations in Gettysburg that work to combat child abuse and its horrendous effects: Survivors, Inc. and Adams County Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC)."
Big thanks to our coach Jeff Cook for organizing such a fun and inspiring event!
