I’m a little late getting this post up because I’ve been busy inside the laundromat this morning, but the market has already been going and we’ve got some AWESOME vendors set up out here today!

💜🇺🇸 PURPLE HEART DAY — AUGUST 7 🇺🇸💜

Today isn’t about laundry.

It isn’t about washers, dryers, Wash Dry Fold, or anything else we normally talk about here.

Today is about what the Purple Heart represents.

When we opened Rapid Fire Wash Dry Fold, we knew we wanted this place to represent more than just a business.

We are two retired Army veterans who spent a combined lifetime serving this country. The military shaped who we are, and when we came home and started this crazy little adventure called a laundromat, we brought those values with us.

Service. Community. Taking care of people.

And for one of us, the Purple Heart is especially personal.

On September 14, 2006, Adam was wounded in Iraq during a massive su***de bombing—an explosion roughly half the size of the Oklahoma City bombing concentrated against a building only a fraction of the size.

It was a day that changed his life forever.

Nearly twenty years later, that Purple Heart has become part of the story of this little laundromat in Geronimo, Oklahoma.

💜 Rapid Fire Wash Dry Fold is proud to be the only Purple Heart Laundromat in the world. 💜

That’s something we’re incredibly proud of—but not because it makes us special.

We’re proud of it because of what that title allows us to represent.

Every Purple Heart hanging on someone’s wall or tucked away in a box somewhere has a story behind it.

A firefight.

An explosion.

A roadside bomb.

A piece of shrapnel.

A hospital room.

A phone call home.

And sometimes, a service member who never made that call themselves.

The Purple Heart isn’t an award anyone goes looking for.

It represents a price that was paid.

Today, we honor every Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine, and Guardian who has received the Purple Heart.

We honor those still carrying the scars of war.

We honor their families.

And above all, we remember those who were awarded the Purple Heart and never made it home.

There’s also something pretty special about where our little laundromat gets to call home.

Exactly one year ago, Geronimo officially became a Purple Heart City.

So today, the world’s only Purple Heart Laundromat gets to proudly sit right here in the heart of a Purple Heart City.

We couldn’t think of a better place for it to be.

To every Purple Heart recipient:

We see you.
We remember your sacrifice.
We honor those who didn’t come home beside you.
And you will always have a place here.

🎉🏆 LADIES & GENTLEMEN… WE HAVE A WINNER! 🏆🎉

These two have been coming in and trying their luck at every prize we’ve put in the claw machine. Time after time they’d give it their best shot, only to come back a day or two later and find out someone else had won it.

But today… today was THEIR day! 🎉

Today, all those tries finally paid off, and they walked away with the BIGGEST cash prize we’ve ever put in the machine! 💵 And yes… every dollar they’re holding is REAL!

Now the big question is… what are they going to spend it on?
