On today’s Why CycleBar Wednesday, overcomer, inspirer, and Midtown member Stephanie shares her incredible words with us:
“Why CycleBar? As I ponder across these words, hoping something truthful and profound comes through me, I sit and I continue to be with this question: “Why CycleBar?” Sarcastically, I catch “Why not CycleBar?” Ummm 🤔 let’s ponder this, “why and why not”, and let’s focus on the whys, why do you show up, what do you gain from cycling, what motivates you, why ,why, why????
I show up to cycle for me. Cycling is much more than the physical aspect of the ride. It’s a totality of me showing up, loving myself, caring for my mind, body, and soul. It gives me life with each breath I take as I ride along with the instructor and cycle mates. I am motivated to keep moving, and, as I move and groove in this space it supports me off the bike. When the rider experience feels tough and the feeling of stopping comes into play, I am motivated to keep moving. You often hear me shout out “Keep moving, keep moving Stephanie, you got this!”❣️ It supports me and reminds me that life experiences can be emotional ebbs and flows, and often I am encouraged to acknowledge this ebb and to keep in the flow of my wonderful life, as well as my rides on the bike. I am reminded to keep moving when I experience the feelings of unworthiness, not enough ness, and poor body image. I ride to support myself, debunk negativity, and remind myself that I am worthy, I am good enough, and I have a beautiful body. I have a good mind in its clarity, my emotional body is peacefulness and calmness, and my spiritual body is uplifted with love, kindness, compassion, truth, honesty, and forgiveness. I remember to remember the world is a better place because of me. CycleBar is one of the many tools I get to used to support the totality of me in this thing we call life. Catch you on a ride.
Be Well
