How is GMSD providing civics education?
After listening to the school board debate, last night, I have concluded that we have two excellent candidates on the ballot. The children would be best served by adding a new school board position and accepting BOTH candidates to the board! We added a new school, so there is no reason why we can't add a new position. To vote against one of these candidates would be a missed opportunity for Germantown Schools!
Germantown REC Soccer registration for the 2020 Fall season continues online…
Teachers and staff, please form a consistent use of the words virtual and remote. It is confusing when you get 7 emails per child and some are using the word virtual for the full-time at home kids rather than the at home hybrid kid. It matters for clear communication.
I'm still annoyed that schools are opening, but it's not safe enough for my child to go to the parks to swing. Am I the only one that thinks this is ridiculous!?!
My daughter has many learning challenges. She went to ESY this summer. GMSD did an EXCELLENT job taking all the COVID19 precautions and providing a safe and fun learning environment. Thank you all so much for all you do!
The FAQ page in today’s email says “for sample schedule click here” There is no link. There is no where to click to see the schedule samples.
if we are new to the district and need IEP testing... what do we do? how will that work virtually?
Does the GMSD website have an actual designer or site map? Navigating the website is a nightmare. Outdated links and such.

National Hispanic Heritage Month is from September 15th to the 30th. Check out this week’s Student Spotlight, Angela Hernandez, a student at Houston High School. Angela's connection to her Hispanic heritage has led to a unique partnership with the Dixon Art Gallery. Together, they've curated an exhibition that captures the essence of a Quinceañera, a significant cultural tradition in many Hispanic communities. A Quinceañera is a grand celebration marking a young girl's transition into womanhood when she turns 15. It is a time-honored event filled with symbolic rituals, vibrant music, and elegant dances. Angela's passion for her heritage and her contribution to this exhibition offer a meaningful glimpse into the rich tapestry of Hispanic culture during this important month of recognition and celebration.
