Bodine School - Germantown, TN 5th graders visited Forest Hill Irene Elementary school to talk about what it is like living with dyslexia. The Forest Hill students just finished reading the book, Fish in A Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt which is a story about a girl with dyslexia. Thank you to our students for sharing their stories and to Forest Hill Irene for inviting us!

Memphian T. Durant Fleming will be signing copies of his book, "Splendid Agony: Celebrating Dyslexia" on Friday, October 4th from 5-7 pm at Bodine School - Germantown, TN as part of the Dyslexia Resource Fair. This free family-friendly event is co-sponsored by The Erika Center at Bodine School, Decoding Dyslexia TN, the Tennessee Branch of the International Dyslexia Association, and the Academic Language Therapy Association (TN Chapter). In honor of Dyslexia Awareness Month in October we will be co-hosting our second Dyslexia Resource Fair at Bodine School - Germantown, TN. Please join us as area experts present at our Structured Literacy Institute focusing on early language and literacy milestones including handwriting. Presenters include Dr. Debbie Moncrieff (University of Memphis Audiology Professor and researcher), Kyleigh Jackson (Audiology Graduate Student); Dr. Jennifer Henderson (University of TN Occupational Therapy adjunct Professor and private practitioner); and Nancy Massey (Speech Pathologist and owner of Germantown Speech Language & Learning Clinic).
