Each session includes a presentation on our day school program, an overview of dyslexia, a tour of the school, observations of our Summer Reading Program, a walkthrough of the admissions process, and hands-on dyslexia simulation activities.

Our Spring Festival turned into an unforgettable indoor celebration filled with some of our students’ favorite House Competition games from throughout the year, sweet cupcake treats, pizza lunches, and an epic dance party!

We also had the honor of recognizing students whose photos will be featured on our Celebration of Dyslexic Minds wall for the 2026–2027 school year, recognizing their achievements and bright futures ahead.

From laughter and teamwork to music and celebration, it was the perfect ending to an amazing school year!

What a fun day! First, we celebrated the students who participated in the Soccer Team, Chess Club, and Destination Imagination this spring. Then, the 5th grade surprised Mr. Daugherty with a special gift - a handmade espresso mug! We sang and danced to our favorite Disney songs in an all-school sing-along 🎶
and lastly, we announced the winner of this year's House Cup.....congratulations to the Jobs' House of Innovation!! 💚

Today is the last day of classes, which is especially bittersweet for our graduating 5th graders. Last week, 5th grade had their "Transition Lunch" to discuss tips on advocating for their dyslexia and unique learning needs at their new schools next year. This special lunch is led by Mrs. James, Director of Student Services and Transition, and a recent Bodine graduate who was able to share her own experience of navigating a new school after Bodine. Our students left with a bookmark reminder to "keep on shining!" ✨

Yesterday was Idiom Day for our 4th grade students! An idiom is a phrase that means something different than the words suggest, like "under the weather" or "when pigs fly!" Check out their adorable projects!

Our teachers go above and beyond for our students every single day. The least we can do is go above and beyond for them during Teacher Appreciation Week!

On Monday we took home care packages from Buff City Soap 🧼
On Tuesday we each got our own personal pizzas made to order from 🍕 (not pictured - devoured too quickly!)
We also had the pleasure of attending the Faculty/Board Social at Owen Brennans to share student success stories 💛
On Wednesday we skipped the Faculty Meeting and took home charcuterie boxes courtesy of Food With Class program 🍴
On Thursday we were treated to coffee and beignets from ☕️
On Friday we did a gift card giveaway to every member of the faculty! 💸

Congratulations to Nate Armstrong who is graduating from Collierville High School this week! Nate attended Bodine in 4th - 6th grade, and according to his mother, Renee, he would not be where he is today without it. We are so proud to be a part of Nate's journey!

Our 5th grade students made their final weeks at Bodine unforgettable!

After weeks of planning, they brought their vision to life with a fun “Under the Sea” themed celebration. From lunch and games to plenty of dancing, it was a special time filled with laughter, creativity, and memories they’ll carry with them as they move on to their next chapter.

We’re so proud of the teamwork and excitement they put into making this event so special. Way to go, 5th grade! 🐠💙
