💡TEACHER TIP: Use sticky notes during student discussions to track ideas, claims, or questions in real time!

Here’s how:
🟨 Let students write their thinking
🟨 Group notes by theme or type of evidence
🟨 Stick them on a whiteboard or anchor chart

It gives students a voice and a visual way to see how ideas grow and shift. Plus, it turns discussions into something you can come back to later 📌

💬 Next time students think all solids are the same, try giving them different materials and asking them to compare:

🔍 Hardness
🔥 Melting point
⚡ Conductivity

Letting students see and test differences makes abstract concepts stick. Plus, it sets them up to better understand structure and properties later in the unit.
