SATURDAY PRELEAGUE WEATHER UPDATE ⚽

After keeping a close eye on the forecast, we’ve made the decision to cancel tomorrow morning’s Saturday PreLeague due to the approaching storm.

While the rain may be light or even hold off during our soccer times, the expected high winds are another concern. Rather than waiting until tomorrow morning, we feel it’s best to make the call early and err on the side of caution. The safety of our little soccer players and families will always come first!

Families, please check your email (including spam/junk folders) for details on our make-up plans!

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility! We hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and to those enjoying Fall Break, have a fun and safe time!

𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐜!!! Also known as Coach Mac-N-Cheese🧀⚽️ She has been with Building Blocks Soccer since 2025. She is a student and soccer player for the Christian Brother’s University Women’s soccer team. Go Bucs! She was a local standout in Memphis in club and High School and now you can catch her playing for CBU! She is a natural and great presence on the field for our players. She has pretty great jokes, too!

A little footwork, a little creativity, and... some sound effects! ⚽️🔊

Coach Finn here, showing us how to do the Scissors and Double Scissors😉, and we’re pretty sure the sound effects are part of the technique!💨

One of our favorite things about soccer at this age is watching kids find their own personality in the game.

Keep learning, keep trying, and never forget to have a little fun along the way!

🎉⚽ 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐌𝐈𝐊𝐄!⚽🎉
And what better day to introduce him than on his BIRTHDAY!𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝗸𝗲!🥳
“Hey everyone! I’m Coach Mike! I’m originally from New Orleans and currently play for the CBU Men’s Soccer Team. I’ve been coaching soccer for a while now, and one of my favorite parts of coaching is helping kids learn the game, build confidence, and hopefully fall in love with soccer along the way.
A few things about me, my favorite team is Barcelona, Neymar is my favorite player, and I love working on juggling and different skills with the ball. If I had to pick a favorite move, it’s definitely the Maradona!
I’m excited to be part of Building Blocks Soccer and to keep sharing my love for the game with our players!”

Help us wish Coach Mike a HAPPY BIRTHDAY and show him some BB Soccer love! ⚽🎂

Sometimes it starts with a little hesitation. New faces, new coaches, new friends, and a whole new experience. And that’s okay!
Then come the first kicks, a few high fives, a little encouragement, and before you know it, that uncertainty turns into a BIG smile.
Every child grows in their own steps, and we love being part of those little moments when confidence starts to build.
We believe those first experiences are the building blocks for everything that comes next. Giving kids a place to play, learn, grow, and fall in love with the game. That’s what it’s all about!

A little from Coach A.J. himself…
“I’m originally from London, England, and I’ve been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. I went on to play collegiate soccer and compete in national tournaments before graduating from Christian Brothers University with a degree in Business Management.
As a coach, I’m always looking for new ways to make training fun, exciting, and a place where kids enjoy learning. My coaching philosophy is simple: 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱, 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀.
A few things about me outside of soccer, I love dogs, my favorite food is BBQ pizza, and my favorite TV show is Ted Lasso!”

We’re excited to have Coach A.J. take on his role with Building Blocks Soccer and helping us continue to 𝗕𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱. 𝗕𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆. 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲! ⚽️
