Our beloved camper Mar’Qese (Qese) is recovering from emergency spinal surgery after being rushed to the hospital with severe pain and numbness and ultimately diagnosed with Cauda Equina Syndrome, a rare condition that can cause permanent nerve damage or paralysis.

While the immediate danger has passed, Qese now faces a long recovery with intensive physical therapy and 6–12 months before returning to work. We’re asking for community support to help cover rent, food and basic living costs, gas and transportation, and access to a reliable car for medical and PT appointments. Without nearby family, community care is essential.

🔥 BED Has Gone to the Burn! 🔥

The BED Map has been printed and we are, in true burnrer fashion, updating the physical BED Map on playa with a paint marker to show off your BEDucated status. The deadline to Update the BED Map is today! We will not be in service starting tomorrow so get those last minute policies in, please!

Because we’re a bit short-handed this year, we’d love a little extra help: if you or someone in your camp can swing by BED at 6:15 & E to pick up your BED buttons before your scheduled BED Talk, that would be amazing. If not, no big deal, but we will likely be on burner time with deliveries like the rest of playa. We’re super proud of all of you for the work you’re doing. Let’s make this burn the best one yet!

Are you PINK?

All those orange, purple, and pink neighborhoods? They’re camps that have been putting in the work to bring consent front and center at Burning Man.

Orange means they registered, purple means they built their own consent policy, and pink… well, pink means they’re fully BEDucated and ready to give their BED Talk on playa.

Every single one of these marks is a person (or a whole camp!) who took time out of their dusty chaos to make their community safer, braver, and more connected.

Massive love to all the BEDucators, BED Buddies, and camp leads who made this year’s map possible. Tomorrow it comes off the printer and soon it’ll be in your hands on playa.

Wow Wow WOW! What a meaningful discussion from an incredible lineup of beautiful burners! Thank you to our speakers and everyone who was able to attend. I don't think I've ever been more proud of our BEDucators and the artists in our community. Having a hard time finding the words to express my myriad emotions after yesterday's gathering. Thank you to our speakers!!
