🌈✨ Learning through play is always more fun! Our little learner had such a wonderful time playing the shape card game and proudly recognized these shapes all by themselves, with no help! 🥰👏 It’s so exciting to see their confidence grow as they learn and remember new things. 💕

🎨🐔 They also enjoyed our Red Hen & Acorn Morning coloring activity, adding their own little creative touch while practicing focus, recognition, and fine motor skills. ❤️🍂

Every little activity is a chance to learn, explore, and shine! 🌟 Give your little one the opportunity to learn through fun, hands-on activities too. Limited spots available, enroll in First Steps today! 🧸💛

🍎🍏 Happy Johnny Appleseed Day from First Steps! 🍏🍎
Today our First Steps children celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day with a little music, a lot of movement, and plenty of fun! 🥁🎶
Armed with their homemade pots, pans, plates, and rhythm sticks, our little musicians marched along just like Johnny Appleseed might have traveled from place to place spreading apple seeds. ❤️
The best learning happens when children can move, create, imagine, make music, and experience a story for themselves. And judging by this little parade, they had a pretty great time doing it! 🍎🌱
At First Steps, these are the moments we love...learning that looks and feels like childhood. ❤️
🍏 Planting little seeds of curiosity today that will grow for years to come.

Good morning! We need your help! Our elected officials, media and more are hearing us!

Here is the easiest way you can help:

1) Sign the change.org petition at https://c.org/kJD5S2FV99. It will take you 3 minutes max@

2) Share, Share, Share. Share on your personal page. Share on your local community pages. Share in your provider groups. Below is a quick social media post that you can copy and paste to share!

🚨 Alabama child care is in crisis, and we need your help. 🚨

Working families are being frozen out of child care assistance. Parents already enrolled are being cut off with only a few days' notice because of income guideline changes that were never made public, and some are losing care over technical errors that weren't their fault. Providers are facing delayed payments and funding changes that penalize the programs that invested the most in quality.

Many child care programs are at risk of closing. We saw what happened to Alabama's workforce when child care shut down during COVID. We can't let it happen again.

We're asking DHR and our elected officials to restore the long-standing income limits (180% of the Federal Poverty Level to qualify, 200% to stay enrolled), stop cutting families off with so little notice, pay providers on time, and fund child care like the essential service it is.

Child care is the workforce behind the workforce. 💙
