Picture Day was a total success! Safe to say the photographers had no trouble getting everyone to smile today!

Huge thanks to all the students and staff for bringing their best smiles, great energy, and fantastic outfits to school. We can't wait to see how the final photos turn out!

⭐️ What a way to kick off the school year! ⭐️

Thank you so much to everyone who came out for our first All Pro Dads meeting of the year this morning! We were so excited to see so many dads and father figures showing up, spending time with their kids, and making memories together. ❤️

⭐️ Fun & Learning in Miss Phillips’ Class! ⭐️

It’s been an exciting couple of days in Miss Phillips’ classroom! Yesterday, students met their new Constellation Companions—5th grade buddies they’ll get to learn and build friendships with throughout the year. 💛

Today, they put their reading skills into action with a hands-on community newsletter project! 📰📚 Students worked together in groups, shared ideas, and had a blast learning along the way!

We love seeing all the teamwork, creativity, and excitement happening in Miss Phillips’ class! 🌟

✨ Constellation Companions Have Arrived! 🌟

Yesterday, our Constellation Companions met for the very first time! ⭐️

Our Constellation Companions program pairs classrooms from different grade levels so students can build relationships, connect across our school, and learn from one another throughout the year. Each month, our buddies will meet for a fun activity designed to help them grow together and strengthen our school community. 💫

For their first meeting, students enjoyed a Get to Know You activity, giving them the chance to learn more about their new buddies and discover what they have in common. 💙

We can’t wait to watch these relationships grow throughout the year! Our Stars shine brighter when we shine together! ✨⭐️

The PTA General Meetings have been planned for the year. We hope everyone can come join us to help share your voice on how to best support every child that is apart of Northern!

During the first meeting we will be reviewing our budget plans for the year, and updates to our by-laws. In order to cast a vote on the approval of either item you must be a PTA member. Big Smiles Dental Program is COMING BACK to NE!

Our Northern Elementary kids are always more comfortable seeing the dentist in the comfort and familiar surroundings of their school. Big Smiles gladly accepts Medicaid and CHIP as well as private insurance which almost always pay for 100% of treatment, so there is NO COST TO YOUR PARENTS. In addition, Big Smiles offers a highly discounted self-pay option. For those without insurance or the means to pay, a grant program is available, please reach out to Mrs. Harris for that information! NO CHILD IS TURNED AWAY DUE TO AN INABILITY TO PAY.

Big Smiles Dentist will be offering dental care at Northern on Monday, September 21st and Tuesday, September 22nd! 🦷✨ This is a great opportunity for students who don’t have a regular dentist to be seen, and it's a convenient way to avoid missing school for an appointment.
