I was so happy to support my student, Bennett, at his choir concert last night. One in a Melody students are more than just pianists; they’re well rounded musicians.

I want to shout out my student, Emma, who participated in the ABRSM practical exam this past weekend. She has worked hard all year preparing and her dedication paid off! I love seeing my students challenge themselves and SUCCEED!

I taught my first piano lesson at 17, never imagining that by 36, I’d be teaching music full-time. It truly is my dream job! Every day, I get to help kids grow into talented musicians while having a blast in the process. It takes patience and creativity to keep them focused, but the rewards are incredible. Some of my students have been with me for over six years, and watching them grow from elementary to high school is the best part of what I do. I couldn’t ask for a more fulfilling career!

I enjoy helping my students tackle challenging songs and giving them actionable steps that help them practice it during the week. When they come back having learned that new section and the practice paid off, it’s so rewarding!

I start teaching piano as young as 4 years old. If you’ve wanted to get your little one started, now is the perfect time! They’ll have a couple of songs learned by Thanksgiving 🦃 DM me to schedule your first free lesson. I offer virtual lessons as well!

This year, One in a Melody students will all be presenting their original compositions. We’re so excited to see this debut of creativity!
