Today, we celebrated the legacy of Dolly Parton and the impact she has had on millions through her Imagination Library. Dolly passionately believed that there was no possible way to get TOO MANY books into the hands of children. Literacy is the key that unlocks thousands of opportunities.

Pictured are the cutest pups around showing off some of their favorite books!

Kindergarten has been working on comparing lengths and widths using “taller than, shorter than, and the same as” statements. Their task yesterday was to create a bridge with their cubes to get them across the river. Their bridge had to be the same width as the river. Students demonstrated their understanding of aligning the endpoints when measuring. After creating as many bridges as they could on their own, Maverick, Lawson, and Bentley got to teach back to the class!
