The countdown to graduation is on for our Georgetown alum, Gracie Sinclair. Ms. Sinclair spent the year student teaching under Angela Hayes. Between her excellent teacher preparation at Louisiana Tech, fabulous mentorship from Ms. Hayes, and her natural teaching ability and passion, we have no doubts that Gracie will be a blessing to all of her future students.

For the spring semester, our 5th grade students have been participating in the DARE program. As Sheriff McCain explained, DARE began as a drug resistance program. While drug resistance is still a core goal, it has expanded to include decision making models designed to promote safe and healthy choices. As the essay winner, Hattie Austin, boasted in her writing the “Dare Decision Making Model is for everyone!”

Thank you to Officer Parrino for facilitating the program and congratulations to all of our DARE graduates!
