Nicholas County Schools is excited to announce that Mr. Timothy Molton has been selected by the Nicholas County Middle and High School Council to begin serving as principal on July 1, 2021.
Mr. Molton began his career in education as an Engineering Technology Education teacher at Mason County High School, in Maysville, KY. During his tenure at Mason County High School, he developed a successful engineering program from the ground up while teaching all of the courses in multiple career pathways.
Mr. Molton obtained his Bachelor Of Science Degree in Industrial Technology at Morehead State University in 2003, and earned his Masters of Teaching Degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 2012. In 2018, he earned his Master of Arts in Education in Instructional Leadership from Georgetown College.
Mr. Molton is excited to serve the students, faculty, staff, and the community of Carlisle. Mr. Molton expressed this in saying, “It is a privilege and an honor to be joining the Nicholas County School District as principal of the Middle/High School. The possibilities of student success are endless!”

Schools confront ‘off the rails’ numbers of failing grades
School districts from coast to coast have reported the number of students failing classes has risen by as many as two or three times — with English language learners and disabled and disadvantaged students suffering the most.
