The Adaptive Nutrition Workshops at Georgetown Middle School empower middle school students to develop confidence, independence, and life skills through hands-on cooking and nutrition activities. Monthly workshops combine demonstrations with student participation, using adaptive techniques and specialized tools. Students improve fine motor skills, healthy food choices, and social collaboration. The program fosters physical, emotional, and social wellness while promoting practical, lifelong skills in an engaging environment that embraces learners from every skill level.

Ag Adventure Day connected more than 700 Scott County elementary students with Kentucky agriculture through hands-on, interactive learning stations. In partnership with local farms, businesses, and community organizations, students explored livestock, honeybees, forestry, aquaculture, farm equipment, and food preservation and preparation. Led by the Scott County Cooperative Extension Service, the event increased agricultural awareness, strengthened classroom learning, and introduced youth to career opportunities while fostering informed, engaged future citizens.
