A heartfelt thank you to Freeman Arts Pavilion for their incredible donation of art supplies and their additional gift to our music program from the Carl M. Freeman Foundation! Our students now have more opportunities to explore, create, and express themselves through art and music.
Your generosity means so much to our young artists and musicians. We can’t wait to see and hear what they create!

A little late to the celebration, but history is always worth revisiting! 🇺🇸📜

On September 17th, GMS celebrated Constitution Day by learning about the U.S. Constitution!

But our seventh graders took things a step further! Last week, they traveled back in time to explore the events and founding documents that paved the way for its adoption, starting with America’s breakup with Great Britain through the Declaration of Independence! 🇺🇸

With a little help from some familiar historical figures (and a special royal guest 👑), students got to see history come to life!

Who says history has to stay in the textbooks?! ❤️🤍💙

🔍 Careers2Classrooms Brings Law Enforcement into the Classroom! 🚔
Georgetown Middle School would like to thank the Georgetown Police Department, including SRO Melis, PFC Romero, and Patrolman Barr, for visiting Mr. Schwendtner’s seventh-grade Project Lead The Way: Medical Detectives class!
Students explored the science of fingerprint analysis by creating their own ink fingerprints and learning how investigators dust for fingerprints on a police vehicle. This hands-on experience connected forensic science, law enforcement, and real-world careers—right in the classroom!

💙💛 Happy National Custodian Appreciation Day! 💛💙

Today, we celebrated the incredible custodians who work behind the scenes—and all around our school—to keep our building clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for learning every single day! 🧹✨

From early mornings to busy school days and everything in between, their hard work, dedication, and care for our students and staff make a HUGE difference.

🏰⚔️ To our amazing custodial team: THANK YOU for everything you do to keep our castle shining! We appreciate you today and every day! 💙💛

How about a little throwback Tuesday!

During the first week of school, Students in Mrs. Curatola’s SRS Exploratory class learned about teamwork through collaborating, communicating, and cooperation. They built Lego designs that could help students, families and their community.
