It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Coach Devon “D” Ford, a beloved coach, mentor and member of our Georgetown County Youth Academy (GCYA) family.
For several years, Coach D poured his heart into our 6th Grade Boys Team and into the lives of so many of our young scholars. He believed in our youth, encouraged them to be their best and was always willing to give his time, wisdom and support. His impact on our academy and our community will never be forgotten.
We ask that you please keep the Ford family in your prayers during this incredibly difficult time. We also ask that you lift our entire GCYA family - especially our young people, in prayer as we mourn the loss of someone who meant so much to our family.
Coach D’s love, dedication, and commitment to our scholars will continue to live on through the many lives he touched. May the memories we have shared bring peace in the days to come.
