Delmarva Christian School is proud to announce the appointment of Justin Savini as Interim Head of School.

A 2006 DCS graduate, Justin becomes the first alumnus in school history to serve in this role, a unique distinction that reflects both his deep love for the school and years of faithful leadership within the DCS community.

Since returning to Delmarva Christian in 2016, Justin has played a key role in helping guide the school through a season of tremendous growth, serving as Director of Development and later Director of Advancement. From strengthening donor relationships and leading strategic initiatives to helping champion the school’s historic capital campaign, Justin has consistently demonstrated a heart for the mission and a vision for the future of DCS.

“I’m honored to step into this role and continue serving a school that has shaped so much of my life,” Savini shared. “I’ve had the privilege of knowing and learning from all three previous Heads of School, first as a student and now as a staff member, and I’m grateful for the foundation they’ve built. I’m excited to continue that legacy of excellence while helping lead DCS into this next season of growth and opportunity.”

Please join us in praying for Justin, his family, and our school as we move confidently into this next chapter together.

Our PreK 4 students wrapped up their school year with a special celebration in the gym as they completed the Delmarva Christian PreK program! Families gathered to cheer on the students as they sang songs, recited Bible verses, and performed with joy and confidence.

A special thank you to Ms. Camper, Ms. Rischitelli, and Ms. Shoemaker for investing in these students throughout the year and helping create such a meaningful celebration.

We are so proud of our little learners and excited to see all God has in store for them!

What a night of celebration at Delmarva Christian!

Yesterday, families, supporters, alumni, students, and friends gathered on campus to celebrate the completion of our $30 million capital campaign, a milestone that reflects God’s faithfulness and the incredible generosity of our community.

Interim Head of School Justin Savini shared words of gratitude and vision for the future as attendees enjoyed food trucks, yard games and bounce houses, and one unforgettable opportunity, signing the beam that will become part of our new building!

Thank you to everyone who has prayed, supported, and believed in the mission of Delmarva Christian. The future is bright, and we can’t wait to see how God continues to move through this campus and community.

Middle school students recently took a trip to Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament as a fun and engaging conclusion to their study of the Middle Ages. The trip provided a memorable way to bring their unit to a close while building excitement and class community.

Not sure who enjoys this trip more, Mrs. Schneck or the kids!

Thursday's Baccalaureate Service for the Class of 2026 was a powerful and moving evening at Calvary Baptist Church.

As seniors gathered on the eve of graduation, we were reminded of the foundation that has been built over the past four years at Delmarva Christian School, rooted in Scripture, shaped by community, and centered on Christ.

Pastor Curtis Jones of Discover Church brought a timely message reminding students that they are known, loved, and never sent out alone. As our seniors step forward, we pray they go with confidence, not in perfection, but in faithfulness - trusting the One who goes with them every step of the way.

Thank you to Calvary Church for hosting our students and to Pastor Jim Peper of The Lighthouse for leading our closing prayer.

Second graders recently stepped back in time during a hands-on visit to historic Odessa, experiencing what life was like in the 1700s.

Students began in a one-room classroom, practicing math and writing with quill and ink while learning how central the Bible was to education during that era. They also explored daily life for children, including chores such as carrying water and washing laundry, and each student created a simple handmade toy.

In their next activity, students were placed into “families” representing different social classes and given a budget and shopping list. They navigated a historic-style general store, making choices among goods like silk, candles, and straw hats while learning how economics and daily living were connected in colonial times.

To finish their experience, students learned about the tanning process by examining animal furs and skins. They worked with a piece of leather, wet and stamped their initials, then oiled and polished it before signing a mock tanner’s contract.
