Committed to excellence, Delmarva Christian Schools (DCS) offers non-denominational, Christ-centered educational opportunities for students as young as 6-weeks-of-age in the Early Learning Center (ELC) in Milton, students in Pre-K4 through 8th grade at Delmarva Christian Milton Campus (DCMC) in Milton, and students in 9th through 12th grade in Georgetown at Delmarva Christian High School (DCHS). DCS is dually accredited by the Commission on Secondary Schools of the Middle States Association and the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) with teachers certified by the state of Delaware (or a reciprocal state) and/or by ACSI. DCMC offers small classes promoting individualized attention and a hybrid-classical approach to learning that also includes opportunities in technology, athletics, visual arts, and performing arts. In addition to offering 12 different varsity-level sports and being a member of the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association (DIAA) and the Eastern Shore Independent Conference (ESIAC), DCHS endeavors to mature young people to be biblically-minded, well-educated, critical thinkers as they seek to discover their life calling.

From ancient marvels to modern masterpieces, Caroline Schneck’s 7th grade World Studies Part Two students took a journey around the world as they explored the fascinating wonders of the world.

Students researched a wonder of their choice, created engaging slideshow presentations and display boards, and put their communication skills into practice by presenting their findings to their classmates.

⚽ Star of the Week: Blake Dale ’28

Congratulations to junior Blake Dale, who was named the Morning Star Publications Star of the Week in both the Laurel Star and Seaford Star for the week of Oct. 1–7!

Blake led the Royals with two goals and an assist in last Friday’s game against Seaford and added two more goals last Tuesday against Polytech.

With 11 goals this season, Blake currently leads the Royals in scoring.

Way to go, Blake!

On September 26, Delmarva Christian celebrated some outstanding Royals during the Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

The ceremony honored:

Matt Dykstra ’15, younger brother Nick was present to accept his award.
A standout four-sport athlete in basketball, golf, lacrosse, and soccer, Matt was named the 2015 Athlete of the Year and Basketball MVP. He also served as National Honor Society President, demonstrating leadership both on the court and throughout the DCHS community.

Natalie (Painter) Fowler ’08
A standout athlete in basketball, softball, and volleyball, Natalie was named DCHS’s first Female Athlete of the Year. She earned multiple MVP honors, including Softball MVP in 2006 and 2008 and Volleyball MVP in 2008. Natalie was also a member of the historic 2007 Girls Volleyball Team, the first volleyball team in DCHS history to qualify for the Delaware State Tournament.

2014 Girls Soccer Team
The 2014 Girls Soccer Team became the first DCHS soccer team to qualify for the DIAA State Tournament. The Royals advanced to the quarterfinals and established themselves among Delaware’s top programs. Haley Timko and Amanda Williams earned DIAA All-State recognition, while Head Coach Scott Esposito was named NSCAA Atlantic Region Coach of the Year.

We celebrate these Royals for the accomplishments they achieved, the standard they established, and the legacy they leave at Delmarva Christian.

🏐🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️⚽🏑 It’s a busy week for Royals Athletics! Monday brings Senior Night for Girls Volleyball, along with a cross country tri-meet. Wednesday, Field Hockey travels to Sts. Peter & Paul, and Friday features a full slate at home with JV Volleyball, Boys Soccer, Varsity Field Hockey, and Middle School Recognition Night for Volleyball. Come out and support our Royals!

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade. And when you have talkative (but awesome) classes, turn that gift into a strength!

Fifth graders gave oral book reports on their classroom novel, Frindle, and they were absolutely fantastic. Ms. Sammons harnessed a natural ability and comfort with public speaking into confident communication, creativity, and learning.

Sometimes the things that make a class unique are exactly what make them shine! Great job Royals!

Wednesday mornings at DCS are a time for worship, prayer, and connection.

This week, students kicked off Community Groups with Worship Circle in the middle of the gym. With the lights down, string lights glowing, and Royals Worship leading the way, students stood together to praise the Lord.

Afterward, students broke into smaller Community Groups for a dedicated time to connect with peers, share honestly, pray together, and reflect on a variety of topics.

It's an important part of life at DCS, creating space for students to grow in their faith and build meaningful relationships with one another.

🏌️‍♀️ Making history, Royals! 💜

We’re incredibly proud of our Delmarva Christian Girls’ Golf Team—Coach Ray Davis, Avery McCoy, and Eleena Brown—for being part of Delaware high school sports history as they competed in the first-ever girls high school golf tournament series!

The Royals opened the series at American Classic Golf Course, earning a 3rd-place medalist finish out of six teams! What an incredible accomplishment and a special moment for these girls.

Last night they were back on the course at Kings Creek Country Club for the second match of the series. We’re excited to see them continue competing, representing Delmarva Christian, and making history along the way!

Let’s go, Royals! 👑🏌️‍♀️

Things got a little chaotic at the High School pep rally! Flag football in the gym, plenty of energy, and a pie in the face to finish it all off.

It was fun. It was crazy. It was definitely a pep rally to remember.

Ms. McCullough’s 4th graders took their science learning outside as they built their own terrariums!

Students collected pieces of grass, sticks, and other natural materials before putting them together to create their own mini ecosystems. A hands-on way to explore the world around them!
